The distinctions received over the past two years by the famous architect duo, don’t just emanate from the marine industry and they impart a rather special status. Their international dimension and their versatility centred on performance means that they are part of the world’s nautical heritage, something which is reflected in the following awards:

  • The Italian magazine Yacht Capital gave VPLP its Award 2010 for the design of the trimaran Groupama, holder of the Jules Verne Trophy (a crewed race around the world against the clock without stopovers)
  • Within the context of the 2010 winners of the Prix Henry Deutsch de la Meurthe from the French Sports Academy, the members of the Academy voted unanimously for VPLP. This prize “rewards the author or authors of a sporting achievement driving material, scientific or mental progress for humanity, performed either in France by a French or overseas citizen, or overseas solely by a French citizen or citizens.”
  • In 2010 the Académie de Marine (Marine Academy) awarded them their Manley-Bendall prize, “allocated to a personality of any nationality who has earned themselves a reputation in the maritime world, whether it be through their qualities as a sailor, a business manager, an inventor or an engineer.”
