Après sa belle victoire dans la célèbre Copa del Rey, consécutive à un podium sur la Royal Cup, (deux événements qui se sont déroulés à Palma de Majorque en juillet dernier), et un parcours sans-faute lors de la Semaine de Kiel en juin, Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE est de retour à la compétition sur le circuit 52 Super Series, dont l’ultime étape refermera la saison 2012 cette semaine à Valencia, en Espagne.
La semaine sera marquée par la présence de Kazuhiko Sofuku, dit « Fuku » au sein de l’équipe, au poste de numéro un. Ce régatier de grand talent d’origine Japonaise a notamment pris part à pas moins de 4 America’s Cup, dont 2 campagnes pour le fameux « Nippon Challenge », avant de rejoindre successivement les équipes américaine de One World Challenge puis de BMW Oracle Racing. Il a également été deux fois Champion du monde de Match Racing.
Kazuhiko Sofuku, Numéro Un, commente : « c’est un honneur pour moi de naviguer avec cette équipe. J’ai vraiment hâte de démarrer la compétition. »
Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE est donc prête à s’aligner sur le départ de la Valencia Cup, où le team Franco-Allemand retrouve ses adversaires habituels des 52 Super Series pour la dernière fois cette saison.
Stéphane Kandler, CEO de ALL4ONE, déclare : « Après des régates particulièrement réussies en juillet dernier (victoire dans la Copa del Rey et podium dans la Royal Cup à Palma), nous sommes heureux de revenir sur l’eau. Les membres de l’équipe ont navigué sur différentes plateformes cet été et nous espérons être aussi compétitifs qu’en juillet lorsque notre bateau était dans sa nouvelle configuration. Nous allons accueillir un nouveau membre dans l’équipe au poste de Numéro Un : Kazuhiko Sofuku alias « Fuku » qui vient du Japon. Il a beaucoup de talent et d’expérience et il entre complètement dans notre philosophie d’ouverture aux équipiers internationaux. Nous sommes impatients de régater à nouveau contre les « grosses » écuries et préparer la saison prochaine qui est prévue de commencer à la Semaine de Key West en janvier. »
Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE débutera la régate par la manche officielle d’entrainement mardi, suivie dès mercredi par les premières courses de la compétition qui se succèderont jusqu’à samedi inclus.

After a nice victory in the famous Copa del Rey, right after a podium place on the Royal Cup, (the two events that took place in Palma de Mallorca last July), and a great event at Kiel Week in June, Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE is back to racing on the 52 Super Series circuit, with its ultimate event that will conclude the 2012 season this week in Valencia, Spain.
This week will also be highlighted by the presence of Kazuhiko Sofuku as bowman on board. This very talented Japanese sailor, who is known as « Fuku », has taken part to no less than 4 America’s Cup (2 campaigns for the « Nippon Challenge », before joining two American teams: One World and BMW Oracle Racing). He has also been World Match Race Champion two times.

Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE is now ready to take the start of the Valencia Cup, where the Franco-German team will fight again its usual competitors from the 52 Super Series for the last time this season.

The team has sailed on different platforms during the summer and we hope to be as competitive as we were in July when our boat sailed in its new configuration. Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE will start the regatta with the official training race on Tuesday, which will be followed on Wednesday by the first races of the competition that will take place until Saturday included.
