With a special lay out and additional floating docks, the marina will have a very different face; the visitors will discover and touch these fabulous dream ships.
For this second Mediterranean Edition, a special area „charter with crew“ will be settled at the harbor master office docks, and visitors will see another facet of sailing a multihull.
These boats will accommodate beginners or experienced sailors, one will sail with crew on the most beautiful seas of the world … not to be missed …!!
Crossing the floating-opening catwalk, the visitors will get to the western « terre-plein », where the exhibitors village is located. They will discover the complete multihull sailing industry : shipchandlers, sail-makers, electronics, services, charter companies… and then the access to the pontoons and the catamarans and trimarans, some new boats in European or world premiere : Aventura 33 Hybrid, Catana 59, trawler Cumberland 47 LC and Helia 44 from Fountaine-Pajot, the Lagoon 39 and Lagoon 52, the Leopard 48, the Outremer 5X, the Tag 60…
All these prestigious ships that a few pupils of La Grande Motte schools will visit as « guest stars » on Friday 12 April.
Also, to be pointed out, the VA 32, a catamaran espacially designed for disabled people, by a rehabilitation association, will make sea trials for disabled people of the neighbor Palavas-les-Flots center.
Original and atypical, the mulltihull legend boats « Goldens Oldies » will be a nod to the past, and the evidence of the fast developement of multihull shipbuilding.
Aside the exhibition, and highlights of the 5 days, the « Multihull Cup » will take place in front of the pyramids, a dozen of teams will fight to win the 2nd award, won by the team of « Multihulls Worls Magazine » in 2012. Let’s meet Saturday night for the awards at the « Multihull Club », 1st prize, a PATTON watch.
