Bayliner V20: eternal bowrider…

by Philippe Leblond

The bowrider is a concept that still appeals to a large proportion of North American customers. For this reason, Bayliner, one of the most popular shipyards in the USA, offers several models in its range. The latest model, the road-going V20, boasts a sporty silhouette and a cockpit with plenty of seating, not forgetting those forward of the windshield, which can be used when sailing conditions are mild, or at anchor (picnics, sunbathing). The cockpit configuration remains conventional, with the usual passage through the central windshield opening, a V-shaped bench seat forward, two pilot and co-pilot seats, followed by a long L-shaped bench seat to port and a seat to starboard, opening onto a passage leading directly to the swimming platform. The main options include a ski mast, wake tower, bimini, refrigerated drawer and a wide choice of colors for the hull, upholstery and deck covering (EVA foam). As for the engine, it will be a Mercury outboard, with several power levels between 115 and 225 hp.
