Highfield Ejet 330: the stealth tender

by Philippe Leblond

Here’s the ideal companion for the sailor in charge of getting back and forth from the yacht to the marina: noise discretion and zero pollutant emissions guaranteed! It may also appeal to a young couple for romantic cabotage sessions… The in-board propulsion system features a 10 kWh battery that delivers 20 kW of power, or around 24 hp according to Highfield. Charging time to 100% takes around five hours, but can be halved with the fast charger. In terms of performance, Highfield quotes 11 kts in cruising mode and 20 kts at full power. The thruster implemented by ZeroJet, a New Zealand specialist in waterjet propulsion, should provide 12 min. of autonomy at 14 kts, and 23 min at 3 kts. This small electric tender has an aluminum hull, like all Highfields, and Neoprene/Hypalon floats. The deck layout offers two comfortable seats behind the steering console and one in the nose of the boat, as well as a number of stowage compartments. Approved for five people, the Ejet 330 can accommodate
two additional passengers on its floats, available in four different colors.
