The Sport 700 and Sport 800, launched over the past two years, illustrate Highfield’s desire to diversify its production with a more “Mediterranean” range (RIBs equipped with all comforts) aimed at cruising/farniente use, not really in keeping with the Australian manufacturer’s original identity. While remaining faithful to the aluminum shell (hull, deck and accessories), Highfield is clearly trying to break into this more upscale market, with a strong reinforcement: the all-new Sport 900 ST. Its “three-zone” cockpit shows a fine balance in the use of space: the aft solarium convertible into a large saloon with six facing seats, the ergonomic two-seater cockpit sheltered by a T-top and the permanent forward solarium, preceded by a small bench seat integrated into the front of the console. The finishing touches are meticulous, from the Orca fabric float to the elegant quilted upholstery. The 900 ST is presented here with the 425 hp Yamaha V8, which corresponds to maximum power and should give it a V-max close to 50 knots.
