Saxdor 340 GTWA: Crossover with character

by Philippe Leblond

Its nomination as “European Boat of the Year 2025” raises high expectations. The new Sandor has many similarities with the Finnish shipyard’s other models, which is clear from the inverted windshield and the negative stem alone. Its striking shape gives the all-weather boat the profile of a predatory fish. Thanks to the sharp, two-stage 21° V-hull, the 340 GTWA moves quickly and smoothly through the water. On the port side, the motor yacht, which is approved for nine people, relies on the walkaround concept (hence the WA in the name): From the bathing platform, there is practically no step up to the saloon on the foredeck. In the stern, a large sunbathing island, under which a second cabin is accommodated, invites you to linger. Folding sides transform the area into a real terrace. The galley is elegantly integrated into the port side wall. Large sliding glass doors create a direct link between the side decks and the wheelhouse. Inside there is a seating area for six people. A refrigerator is installed in the driver’s seat as a little extra. Below deck, two double cabins and a wet room share the space.
