Selva 670 Fish Master: fishing… and cruising

by Philippe Leblond

For the Italian shipyard, which has focused on RIBs in recent years, this small, transportable helmsman, approved for eight passengers, marks a return to this category. With its spacious aft cockpit and enclosed wheelhouse for winter outings, the 670 Fish Master focuses above all on fishing, as its name suggests. But despite its compact size, it’s also open to coastal cruising, thanks to a well-exploited living space with a double berth under the foredeck and a separate marine toilet. However, the latter can be omitted to benefit from a more generous sleeping area. The wheelhouse also features a small fridge, housed under the pilot’s seat, and a sink. In short, everything you need for coastal camping. It’s a shame, however, that a stove isn’t available as an optional extra, so you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the morning. As far as swimming and access to the foredeck are concerned, there’s nothing more practical… But that’s the price we pay for this large living space for a fisherman under 7 meters.
