Particularly active, the young Istanbul-based shipyard follows this up with the launch of the electric version of the Sirena 48 Coupé, the first in a range of seven models, dominated by a 118-footer (36 m). The Coupé generates impressive living space for a unit less than 15 m long. With six berths, divided into three double cabins: the full-width main cabin in the center, the VIP cabin in the bow and the guest cabin to starboard. Sirena has not forgotten the sailor’s cabin, located aft of the cockpit, with independent access. Light floods in through the cabins’ ample hull glazing and the generous bay windows that illuminate the wheelhouse, saloon and galley, all in the same space. The low superstructure and shallow draft make this a boat that can happily venture into inland waters. While top speed is that of a trawler (14 kts), economical cruising speed is that of a sailboat (6.5 kts). Modest in 100% electric mode, the Sirena’s range can be extended to 350 miles at this speed, with the help of the generators.
