Sunreef Ultima 66: electric but “sporty

by Philippe Leblond

The Ultima 66 is one of six models in the Polish shipyard’s new range of motor catamarans (14 to 36 m). This series marks a stylistic and design break with the Sunreef Power range. The Ultima has a more dynamic silhouette, with inverted bows and wheelhouse fronts, and a stern with opening bulwarks. Another difference: the Ultima is significantly narrower. The aim is to improve the efficiency of electric propulsion. Even so, the combined surface area exceeds 200 m 2 of usable space, with a cabin layout spanning the entire width of the tunnel: three guest cabins, two crew cabins and, forward, a full-width master cabin with independent access. All cabins are en-suite. Inside, the main deck is divided into three lounges and a galley.
and, on the outside, a number of solariums and a dining area in the cockpit. The flybridge, with its solar panel hard top, houses the helm station, a saloon/bar and two large solariums. The Ultima 66 is also available with two Volvo D6 IPS 400 diesels, twice 300 hp.
