Switzerland now has a third international measurer. After Guy Roland Perrin and Jean-Pierre Marmier, World Sailing has appointed Yorick Klipfel to the post. It’s a logical step for this passionate regatta sailor, who is responsible for the ACVL measurement system used in many of Switzerland’s major regattas. Yorick Klipfel will initially be responsible for the A-Class and Nacra 15s. Beyond personal recognition, this appointment is the fruit of immense hard work and an excellent knowledge of the class rules. It’s also a reminder that the world of regattas is still short of officials. Don’t hesitate to contact your club to take part in the training courses organized by the various regions.
