One hundred tonnes of plastic fall into Lake Geneva every year

A study shows that one hundred tonnes of plastic reach Lake Geneva every year, mainly via runoff (83%). The automotive sector is the main contributor (33%), followed by construction (24%) and public infrastructure (11%). EA – Earth Action developed a predictive model, with the contribution of the Association pour la Sauvegarde du Léman (ASL). Eight pollution reduction scenarios were analyzed for the year 2040.
