For its 16th edition, the Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award 2025 went to Italian photographer Martina Orsini. Martina Orsini, the first woman to win this prize, owes it to a photo taken during Foiling Week in Malcesine. For the author, who describes herself as “a storyteller, a globetrotter” this award “(…) is like a reminder that every early morning, every cold day spent on a RIB, every risk taken to get even closer to the yachts, and every moment of doubt along the way is worth it.”
Another woman, New Zealand photographer Suellen Hurling, won the People’s Choice Award for a shot taken at the Moth World Championships in Auckland.
Yacht Racing Forum
The Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award 2025 was presented at the Yacht Racing Forum. For the fifteenth time, the B2B mecca was held in conjunction with METS Amsterdam. Representatives and decision-makers from the regatta industry gathered in Amsterdam on November 20 and 21 for the Yacht Racing Forum. They took part in an exceptional edition of the Forum, in the presence of 250 delegates from 26 countries gathered for two days of debate, networking and business opportunities. Innovation, equality and sustainability were the central themes of the forums organized for the occasion.
The Paris Nautic Show gets a makeover at Le Bourget
It opened its doors this morning and will run until Sunday. The Paris Nautic Show takes place at the Parc des Expositions du Bourget from November 26 to 30. The direct descendant of the Paris Boat Show, the Paris Nautic Show is intended to be “the place where the major directions of the French boating industry are mapped out”.
