To mark the 25th anniversary of Skippers and the 15th anniversary of the Skippers Cup, your magazine is taking its readers on a race-cruise from May 2 to 9, 2026, in the British Virgin Islands. Two of the ten boats are still available, and some sailors would like to complete their crews. Would you be interested?
Imagine waking up in the warm, translucent waters of the Caribbean in a dreamlike landscape, the trade winds kicking in at 11 a.m. for the day’s run, sailing on sight between paradisiacal islands, each very different from the next (Anegada seems to have come straight out of the Seychelles, for example), a delicious dinner of local specialities provided every other evening by the organizers, and an unforgettable sunset…
Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store for participants in our reader’s voyage, some of whom have been loyal to us for 15 years, so much do they appreciate the conviviality and solidity of the organization. The Swiss fleet consists of 10 latest-generation one-designs (Sunsail / Moorings 410 with 3 double cabins), whose skippers meet daily on the flagship for briefings and instructions from the race committee. Some crews are in regatta mode, others in cruising mode, but all are in good spirits!
Unforgettable memories and safe discovery
The Skippers Cup organizers come aboard a Powercat Moorings, which acts as flagship: Fabienne and Cyrille from Voile Evasion, Brice the founder of Skippers, Johnatan the videographer, as well as a local skipper from Sunsail/Moorings, who advises us on itineraries and good addresses. He can also intervene on the boats if necessary.
In addition to daily skipper briefings on the flagship’s flybridge at aperitif time, four evening events are organized and included in the price of the week: the TeamWork welcome party, the Voile Evasion cocktail party, a much-appreciated dinner, and the Sunsail prize-giving party. The best moments of the day’s sailing around Tortola are captured on video and shared with the whole fleet every day.

Based on six crew members, the price for this week, including boat hire (and taxes), four evening events and all organization, is CHF 1,950 per person (for 5 people per boat: CHF 2,200 per person, and for 4 people per boat: CHF 2,500 per person).
