The fifth season of the TF35 is a mature one. This year, there are no major changes, neither in the boat’s architecture, nor in the now perfected flight program. Six boats will take to the starting line at the Grand Prix de Nyon. However, there are two notable absentees: neither Alinghi nor Realteam will be taking part in the Grand Prix. The first, a historic team, is simply not taking part in the circuit, and the second will only enter the major races in June.
But these absences are fortunately offset by a new entry. The X-Wing boat takes its name from the little Star Wars starfighter. At the helm, owner Marco Favale has assembled a number of ARBR defectors: Yves Detrey, Nicolas Charbonnier, Lucien Cujean and Arthur Cevey.
