Skippers Cup 2026
The first Skippers Cup started on 11.11.2011 in the British Virgin Islands. Its mixed regatta and cruising format, convivial atmosphere and meticulous organization were met with great enthusiasm by the Swiss sailing community. At the Skippers Cup, participants spend a week exploring a beautiful sailing area together on ten standardized boats under the guidance of a flagship, arriving at a new anchorage every evening. They don’t have to worry about anything, they can just sail and enjoy themselves. Attention, two thirds of the boats are already reserved!
Skippers Cup around Tortola, May 2 to 9, 2026
The day begins with a dip in the warm, turquoise waters of the Caribbean, followed by an invigorating breakfast with breathtaking views of the paradisiacal and varied landscape. Around 11 a.m., when the trade wind sets in, we set off. Ten Sunsail 41s are chartered for this week-long sailing rally in the British Virgin Islands. The new Dufour 41s are comfortable, spacious and fast. They have three double cabins, each with its own bathroom and plenty of living space on and below deck. From the Sunsail Moorings base in Tortolla, the route covers over 100 nautical miles
past fabulous coastlines and green islands whose names stand for historic events and glorious times: Cooper Island, Virgin Gorda, Great Harbour, Just von Dyke or Anega, whose rocks are reminiscent of the Seychelles.
For a crew of six, the week including boat charter (and fees), four evening events and organization costs CHF 1950 per person.
