The meeting place for Swiss sailors

Skippers Cup 2026

Since 2011, the Skippers Cup flotilla has been playing pirates in a postcard-perfect setting.

From May 2 to 9, 2026, Tortola and its neighbors are set to welcome the Swiss in the wind. Since its first edition on November 11, 2011 in the British Virgin Islands, the Skippers Cup has established itself as a unique meeting place for the Swiss sailing community. Neither a simple regatta nor a classic cruise, it combines the pleasure of friendly competition with the conviviality of a touring flotilla. Each day, ten one-design yachts set sail for a few hours, before meeting up again at sunset in a new, tropical bay.

Supervised by a flagship, participants simply have to enjoy themselves: the organization takes care of the rest. A resounding success, with two-thirds of the boats already booked. The program includes waking up to paradisiacal panoramas, a first dip in the translucent waters of the Caribbean, and then the trade wind that rises in the late morning to accompany the fleet over a hundred miles. Each crew will embark on a brand-new Sunsail 41, a Dufour 41 that is both efficient and spacious, with three double cabins with en suite facilities and generous living spaces, both inside and on deck.

The itinerary will take sailors to mythical ports of call: Cooper Island, Virgin Gorda, Great Harbour, Jost Van Dyke and Anegada, with its spectacular rocks worthy of the Seychelles. A cocktail of lush landscapes, enchanting anchorages and festive atmospheres, punctuated by convivial evenings organized by Skippers. Based on six crew members, participation costs CHF 1,950 per person, including boat hire, taxes, four evenings and all organization. Places are limited, so register early at brice.lechevalier@skippers.ch.
