A truly unusual catamaran – in more ways than one! It was not named the official boat of the 2024 America’s Cup for nothing. De Antonio has a home game with its first all-electric boat, as the regattas will take place in Barcelona. To give the E23 the necessary lightness and rigidity, it was made from fiberglass and vinyl ester resin using an infusion process. As the Torqeedo outboard Deep Blue is relatively weak in relation to the weight of the boat, a rigid foil provides additional buoyancy and thus reduces drag, which makes the catamaran faster (30 knots) and increases the range. De Antonio speaks of 60 nautical miles at a speed of 6 knots (10 hours) and 40 nautical miles at 20 knots (2 hours). A fast charger takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to charge the 40kWh battery. On the functional deck plan of the E23, two passages are cut out to the left and right of the sun lounger, the helm station with two bucket seats is positioned centrally and the eight seats are positioned so that there is enough space to move around unhindered and make yourself comfortable on the long U-shaped bench in the bow.
