Following the announcement of Alinghi’s return to business a few days ago, it’s now SailGP’s turn to confirm the circuit’s presence in the city of Calvin, after a successful first edition last September. 2026 promises to be a vintage year!
The Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix – Geneva will take place over two days of intense competition on September 19 and 20. Replacing Saint-Tropez in the Rolex SailGP championship calendar for the 2026 season, its 2025 edition was the biggest event ever held on Lake Geneva. It attracted tens of thousands of fans in the stands, on the shore and on the water. A total of 19.5 million people watched the broadcast of the event.
“Returning to Geneva is an important moment for SailGP and our fans, as we continue to build a consistent annual calendar in some of the world’s most iconic destinations. By 2025, the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix has become one of the biggest outdoor sporting events ever held in the city, and the biggest ever held on the lake,” announces Sir Russell Coutts, Managing Director of SailGP.

On the subject of new products for 2026, your humble servants – Louis and I – will be facing the German blizzard from Saturday morning, and will be strolling the aisles of the Boot DĂŒsseldorf, the world’s largest indoor boat show. We’ll be covering a selection of world premieres on video, from sailboats of course, but also from motoryachts. In particular, we’ll be taking a look at the Dutch shipyard Saffier, renowned for its top-of-the-range day-boats, to discover their new SE28 Leopard, or at Pure Yacht, a German shipyard presenting a particularly well-thought-out 42-foot saloon deck. On the motor side, the choice is vast, with units of up to 90 feet, which, in an indoor show, is a feat in itself. You can find more content on our Instagram, Facebook and YouTube accounts. What better way to start the year!
