Croatia

Create your own crew and embark on a tailor-made flotilla cruise with your Skippers Magazine team: the Skippers Cruise. Along the Croatian coast, you’ll have the opportunity to discover the jewels of this region. The cruise runs from October 18 to 25, 2025.

Aboard Sunsail 41, a 3-cabin yacht with en-suite facilities, you’ll be able to sail between the islands, while the Sunsail skipper and 2 members of the editorial team (including a videographer) will be in charge of organization aboard the flagship, a powercat.

The Program

Day 1 (Saturday, October 18): Direction Croatia – Departure is possible from Geneva with a direct flight – not included – to Dubrovnik. Arriving in Dubrovnik mid-afternoon, you’ll head for the harbor to settle aboard your yacht, before meeting up for the Welcome Evening. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet and forge first links between crews, while enjoying the first briefing of the trip, officially launching the Skippers Cruise!

Day 2 (Sunday, October 19): Conquering the island of Sipan in Suđurađ – Once the 15-nautical-mile sail is complete, you can set off to discover Suđurađ. You can also head out of town to marvel at the scenery of olive groves and orchards, or lounge on one of the island’s many coves. Boats will be anchored in a sheltered cove for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Day 3 (Monday, October 20): Sail to the island of Mljet at Okuklje – After 10.4 nautical miles (2h sailing), a magnificent bay to the north of the island will shelter the boats. For some, this means swimming and exploring, while others prefer to read or listen to music in the sun.

Day 4 (Tuesday, October 21): Boarding Lumbarda, island of Korcula – To perfect your nautical sense, a 20-nautical-mile sail is scheduled before a guided tour of the town that will plunge you into its rich past; no mystery will escape you!

Day 5 (Wednesday, October 22): Wine tasting at the Grgić vineyard in Trstenik – wine lovers, this day is for you! After sailing 11 nautical miles, it’s a taste adventure that awaits you at the Grgić vineyard for a private, tailor-made wine tasting for Skippers Cruise crews.

Day 6 (Thursday, October 23): Set course for Ston, a coastal town on the PeljeĆĄac peninsula – After a day’s sailing, immerse yourself in the town’s history as you walk along the 16th-century ramparts that wind their way through the hills. These ramparts form the second longest defensive wall after the Great Wall of China. What’s more, you’ll have a breathtaking view of the salt marshes and the traditional oyster farms still in operation.

Day 7 (Friday, October 24): Back to Dubrovnik – Final sail of 22 nautical miles (4h30 of navigation) before returning to Dubrovnik, where the old town will be presented to you during a guided tour. Finally, a closing party will be organized to celebrate one last time among the crews!

Day 8 (Saturday, October 25): Time to say goodbye – After a final night on board, it’s time to return the boats to Geneva in the afternoon.

Based on six crew members, the price for this week, including boat hire, a Sunsail 41 (and taxes), four evening events, flotilla supervision (10 boats maximum) and visits and tastings, comes to CHF 1,450 per person. Flights are not included.

The program is subject to change depending on the weather, and other islands may be proposed. For reservations or further information, please contact Olivier: olivier.evain@gmtpublishing.com
