Marex 390: pleasing family cruiser

by Philippe Leblond

The renowned Norwegian shipyard remains true to its line and presents another coupé cruiser for coastal cruising and occasional offshore trips with family or friends. Like all Marex models, the brand new 390 is designed as a shared boat. It has two cabins with four comfortable berths. Two more are added when two people are accommodated in the large saloon next to the helm. The sofa in the mid-cabin can also be used as a children’s sleeping area. The large hull windows allow plenty of daylight into the interior. A wet room with washbasin, shower and WC provides the necessary comfort for longer stays on the boat. The main deck is also impressive: the steering position, saloon and galley are covered and generously glazed so that you can enjoy the view while dining. A practical feature is the wheelhouse door, which gives the driver direct access to the gangway. Outside, the 390 is not lagging behind in terms of comfort either. The saloon opens out onto a large bathing platform with a bench where you can get ready to dive before relaxing on the sun lounger on the foredeck. The Marex 390 can be motorized with either two Volvo diesel engines with Z-drive (2 × 440 hp) or V-drive (2 × 480 hp).
