A must for every multihull enthusiast: the International Multihull Boat Show opens its doors next Wednesday with a series of world and European premieres. Among others, the Outremer 48, the Aquila 50 Sail and the Leopard 53 PC will be on display.

For those who can’t be there in person, Skippers is planning a special daily newsletter featuring a video walkaround of a multihull presented at the show for the first time. This video will be complemented by content on what’s new from exhibitors – whether shipyards, chandlers or insurers.

So you can look forward to it: You’ll hear from us next week!

The regatta spring is on course: sailing highlights from Lake Geneva to Lake Constance

With the first warm days, life returns to the Swiss lakes and the regatta calendar starts to fill up. April and especially May and June promise numerous highlights. The popular “Régates du Mardi” organized by the Société Nautique de Genève and the “Régates du Mercredi” organized by the sailing clubs of Pully and Lutry provide regular excitement on the water until October. At the end of April and beginning of May, several events are scheduled – from the Swiss 420 Championship to the SwissCup DF95 and the J/70 Swiss Cup. And of course, the traditional 2026 opening regatta of the Cercle de la Voile d’Estavayer (CVE) is not to be missed.

Another highlight will follow at the end of May: the scene will meet at the Critérium Toucan (23 to 25 May) at the Club Nautique de Morges (CNM), before a real classic is due just a few days later: the Geneva-Rolle-Genève (29 to 31 May) organized by the Geneva Yacht Club (YCG), which will once again mobilize the best crews on Lake Geneva in its 62nd edition. And the big highlight will not be long in coming either: The Bol d’Or du Léman, the most important regatta on Lake Geneva, will take place from June 5 to 7. Over 400 boats and around 2,500 sailors will tackle the 123-kilometre circumnavigation of the lake. Around forty regattas are also on the program on various lakes in German-speaking Switzerland. The Swiss Sailing League is particularly well represented. Another international highlight is the Lake Constance Week (May 29 to 31), which brings together sailing enthusiasts from Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. In other words: don’t miss the sailing spring, it promises a packed program!
