A review of the multihull boat show and the start of the Skippers Cup!

by Louis Taurel

The International Multihull Boat Show closed its doors on Sunday evening after a week rich in launches and new products. Among the 82 multihulls on display were no fewer than 11 European and world premieres.

We were lucky enough to visit some of them and present them to you in our daily reports. If you missed this content, please visit www.skippers.ch to discover the Outremer 48, Aquila 50 ES, Leopard 53 PC, Aventura 37 and many other models through our videos and articles. In the coming weeks, we’ll also be publishing our visit to Garcia’s Explocat 52, a remarkable aluminum catamaran rediscovered at the show, whose playground extends to all the world’s oceans, from the tropics to the most extreme latitudes.

According to the figures provided by the show organizers, attendance was down slightly (-5%), despite the fact that it was a record year for foreign visitors.

This edition was also an opportunity to celebrate the first act of Skippers ‘ 25th anniversary at the exhibitors’ evening on Saturday, where we presented 25 prizes to our long-standing partners present at the show.

The second act of this silver jubilee kicks off this Saturday with the start of the Skippers Cup in the British Virgin Islands: seven crews will be racing one-design boats aboard the latest generation of Dufour 41s. Stay tuned to the Skippers networks, and we’ll be sure to share the best images with you!
