Since early August, Nicola Möckli has been back at the Swiss Sailing office, after having worked in communications for the federation for three years. He supports Fiona Auderset, Head of Training, Sports, and Development, dedicating 40% of his work time to training. His work primarily involves continuing to organize courses for J+S instructors and passing on his many years of experience in coaching children and teenagers on lakes and at sea to the next generation of instructors.
In recent years, he has also contributed to the development of the new sailing manual, produced in collaboration with the Federal Office of Sport (OFSPO), which serves as an ideal foundation for this role.
“In the future, sailing with children and teenagers will need to focus even more on fun and physical activity,” Nicola explains. “The goal will be to incorporate this new knowledge into training camps starting next season, and consequently into the clubs. I am especially looking forward to collaborating with the wonderful team of experts that the sailing world can count on.”
