The Rapido trimarans are known and recognized in the water sports scene and even far beyond, as the famous family of “Sailing la Vagabonde”, which is followed by 2 million fans on the YouTube platform alone and has generated 460 million views since the channel was founded in 2014, sails on a Rapido 60.
The novelty, or rather the novelties presented by the shipyard as a world premiere, is a small 40-foot bomb, available in a version with the comfort of a transatlantic route and a version… for fans of regattas and wild runs. The trimaran was designed by Morrelli & Melvin and built from carbon. The spacious central hull offers a real panoramic roof, 2 cabins, CE category A certification and, above all, foldable floats that reduce the width from 8.80 m to 5.80 m in port. What is the goal? The aim is to simplify daily life with a high-performance trimaran.
On the pontoons at the International Multihull Show, you can see the Cruiser version and the Racer version, which is extremely sleek – the difference between the two versions is one ton – and where some of the equipment (refrigerator, water maker, etc.) can be easily removed to make it even easier to get to the start.
The Rapido 40 is a true return to the roots of sailing: it offers impressive performance under sail and the comfort you need, but nothing more, to enjoy a fast ocean cruise.
