First 30 – The return

by François Trégouët

From the molds of the half-tonner L’Impensable, the first First 30, designed by André Mauric in 1976, paved the way for Beneteau’s success in the world of racing cruising. Nearly fifty years later, the market has evolved, and next year the flagship brand of the Vendée-based group will present a completely revisited version of this legendary boat. Achieving the subtle balance between racing performance, safety on the high seas, interior comfort and modern aesthetics was entrusted to the architect in vogue at the time: Sam Manuard. We recognize the power of the wide bow developed on his ocean racing boats. And last but not least, with prices starting from 100,000 euros, the shipyard is determined to make the First 30 affordable. jack-beck.ch
