The Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix: a logistical and meteorological challenge

by Pierre-Antoine Preti

“First time in Switzerland, first time in Geneva and first time on a lake. It’s a logistical and meteorological risk,” admits Julien di Biase. With the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix just a month away, the man in charge of SailGP operations briefed the press. A native of Geneva himself, Julien is well aware of the geographical constraints and meteorological limits of Lake Geneva. Added to this is the tight schedule, with only seven days between the Saint-Tropez and Geneva legs. A lot of constraints to organize a world-class Grand Prix that should delight all sailing enthusiasts. Skippers magazine looks at these issues in video. Interview.

The Amel Cup Med 2025

More and more shipyards are offering “owner meetings”, a great way to unite customers around a brand and pass on its values. From June 19 to 22, 2025, fifteen Amel yachts (six Amel 50s, seven Amel 60s and two Amel 55s) met in Porquerolles for a new edition of the AMEL CUP MED. For the fourth time, Skippers was able to cover this event and produce the aftermovie you’ll find here.
