Le groupe XCO Développement, déjà propriétaire de Latitude 46, constructeur des fameux Tofinou, complète son offre sur le segment des voiliers day boat en achetant le chantier lorientais Alphena Yachts.
Créé en 2007 par Bruno Mottet, Alphena Yachts s’est rapidement fait connaître sur le marché européen grâce à des voiliers aux lignes extrêmement modernes, simples à mettre en oeuvre pour des navigations à la journée.
Christian Iscovici, Président directeur général d’XCO Développement, souhaite préserver et renforcer les atouts d’Alphena Yachts – innovation, performance, construction haut de gamme – en s’appuyant également sur deux personnalités impliquées dans le chantier depuis sa création : l’architecte naval Tanguy Le Bihan et le navigateur Loïck Peyron. Il annonce d’ores et déjà le lancement prochain d’une nouveauté, un 12 mètres qui concentrera tout le savoir faire du chantier lorientais.
XCO Développement, the group which already owns Latitude 46, builders of the famous Tofinou, strengthens its coverage of the day boat segment, with its acquisition of the Lorient boatyard Alphena Yachts.
Founded in 2007 by Bruno Mottet, Alphena Yachts quickly made a name for itself in the European market with its ultra-modern and easy-to-handle day boats.
Christian Iscovici, Chairman and CEO of XCO Développement, is keen to consolidate and build on Alphena Yachts’ competitive advantages – innovation, performance, high-end build quality –and will enlist the support of two key names, both of whom have been closely involved with the boatyard since its creation: naval architect Tanguy Le Bihan and yachtsman Loïck Peyron.
He has already announced the imminent arrival of a new addition to the range, a 12 metre boat that will incorporate all of the Lorient yard’s cutting edge know-how.
