The RC44 Class are proud to announce that Pelle P the sailing and sporting lifestyle brand has become the official clothing partner to the RC44 Class for the next three years.
The Swedish based brand first became involved with the class at RC44 Sweden Cup in Marstrand earlier this year, where Pelle Petterson, was honoured in his 80th year by a ‘Tribute to a Legend’ trophy presented in his honor.

Pelle Petterson is best known as Sweden’s most prolific sailor, winning two Olympic medals, several world championships and skippering two America’s Cup Challenge’s for his country. But Petterson is also a style icon, designing award winning cars and yachts throughout his career. The class were flattered by his praise for the RC44 design in Marstrand. “It’s an exciting class, a really good racing boat.”
With the family name firmly rooted in Swedish sailing history, Cecilia Petterson decided to carry on the families design tradition in 2002 and create a new brand of technical clothing for sailing, skiing and casualwear. The brand has grown internationally, with three of the competing RC44 teams already sporting Pelle P technical and onshore clothing. The brand is also the chosen clothing supplier to Artemis Racing Challenger for the 34th America’s Cup.

The partnership will be launched at RC44 World Championships in Rovinj, Croatia from the 3 – 7 October and will be worn by the class from the first event of the 2013 Tour.
