London, UK – 04 May: Damien Iehl may be making his debut as a Tour Card Holder on the World Match Racing Tour (WMRT) in 2011 but the Frenchman is aiming for instant success as he targets becoming Match Racing’s World Champion.
With the overall winner of the WMRT being crowned the ISAF Match Racing World Champion nothing but success will do for Iehl, who said, “The objective is simple – it’s just the title. If it’s possible to finish first then that’s the objective.”
With the WMRT’s opening regatta getting under way in Marseille next week (10-15 May) Iehl will be carrying the hopes of home fans. Iehl spoke to www.wmrt.com about his thoughts on tactics and opponents in 2011.
